I am a UX Director / Architect with a strong, empathetic sense and has worked in the Life Sciences, Corporate, Music/Video Entertainment, Military, Automotive, and Aviation sectors for the last 20 years.  I believe a Designer should "hear" what "sounds good" and have a knack for composing products that resonate with people and are deeply in tune with the motivations, emotional and mental models, values, priorities, preferences, and inner conflicts of their target audience, creating a great User Experience.

  • Create user-centered designs, demonstrated ability to balance high-level detail-oriented feature designs, and facility designing for both web/desktop and mobile channels.
  • These services include the engineering tools to develop, test, operate, and support the cloud services built across Microsoft. The CloudES organization is unique as they have the scale requirements of the cloud while having the unique constraint of supporting applications that support Microsoft Azure’s live site. Mar 2006-Aug 2017       Lead UX Designer, CDK Global

  • Design Owner and User advocate on our Responsive CMS System, working with Product Manager, Engineers, Researchers and Content creators to oversee iOS, Android, & Responsive Design experiences from conception to launch to iteration. 
  • Leverage Design and User science sensibilities, skills and desire to make a huge impact in the Automotive space.
  • Analyze requirements and work on challenging UX business problems, talking to stakeholders to understand problems, iterating on and presenting designs as mockups or prototypes, and working with engineering to see the completed functionality into Users hands.

2001-2005       Lead Web Developer, DMX MUSIC

  • Responsible for a variety of tasks both creative and technical ranging from continual website updates to entire Site Redesigns, Web Promotions/Ads, Motion Graphics, Video Editing, and Multimedia Kiosk Development. The position required flexibility and a balanced mix between 60% design, and 40% coding.
  • Learned about and presented new front-end technologies, analyzed designs and devised/implemented front-end interface that puts as much functionality in the front-end as practically possible, iterating on these implementations to tune the product into a fine machine, creating reusable components for quick integration of similar features, and working with backend engineers to see completed functionality through a perfect execution and into Users hands.

1999-2001       Interactive Media Specialist, AEI MUSIC

  • Develop, implement and managed the first AEI Music Web Site and Intranet for the accomplishment of the Sales and Marketing. 
  • Designed Motion Flash Graphics, Video Editing (Avid, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects), Conceptual Wireframes, High-Fidelity Mockups/Post Production, Red-Line Specifications, and Prototypes for Websites and Kiosk.

1998-1999       Multimedia Designer/Developer, SIGHT & SOUND ENTERTAINMENT

  • Designed and developed interactive Hardware Applications/Websites/Kiosks for commercial customers and developed first Corporate Website & Intranet.
